Three wiring methods for thermocouples

1 Typical route
The typical circuit for thermocouple temperature measurement is different from explosion-proof thermocouples, which are used in conjunction with a moving coil meter and a cold junction compensator The circuit used in conjunction with the automatic electronic potentiometer (note that there is a compensation bridge inside the automatic electronic potentiometer).
2 forward series connection
Thermocouples are connected in series in the forward direction It is composed of the positive and negative poles of various thermocouples of the same model connected in series. The total input thermoelectric potential of the thermocouple display instrument is:
E=Eab(t1,to) +Eab(t2,t0)
It can be seen that using a forward series connection to measure the same temperature will display the total input thermoelectric potential E=2Eab (t, to) of the instrument, which can improve the sensitivity of the instrument. A thermocouple composed of multiple thermocouples of the same model connected in series is called a thermopile It can be applied in radiation pyrometers To measure small temperature changes and obtain large thermoelectric potential outputs.
3 reverse series connection
Connect the same polarity (negative or positive) of a thermocouple of the same model in reverse series.
The thermocouple composed in this way is called a differential thermocouple. Its extracted thermoelectric potential is
△ E=E (t1, t0) - E (t2, t0) -2 E (t1, t2)
Therefore, Δ E reflects the temperature difference between two temperature measurement points (t1, t1). It is required here that the model of thermocouple used and the cold break temperature t0 must be the same And the thermoelectric characteristics of its thermocouple are linear.
