How to Prevent Fires and Maintain Explosion-Proof Electric Heaters
I. Preventing Fires in Explosion-Proof Electric Heaters
Because electric heaters have a high power output, fires can occur at any time if users neglect safety precautions. Therefore, to prevent fires, we generally recommend the following:
1. Never place an energized electric heater on or near flammable materials.
2. Ensure the correct plug is installed on the heater. Never plug the end of the wire directly into the socket, as this can cause a short circuit and fire.
3. Always disconnect the power cord from the device when leaving.
4. Do not use a resistance wire that has been repaired more than three times, as this can overload the circuit and cause a fire.
5. The safe flow rate of the electric heater wire must meet the required capacity.
II. Maintenance of Explosion-Proof Electric Heaters
1. Before using an explosion-proof heater, ensure that the air supply is established. Only energize the heater after the air flow reaches the specified level. This will prevent damage to the heater.
2. If the explosion-proof electric heater suddenly stops flowing during operation, the power supply must be immediately disconnected.
3. Regularly check the wiring of the explosion-proof electric heating tube to ensure it is in good condition and that the insulation meets the requirements.
4. Explosion-proof electric heaters should be regularly cleaned of debris during operation.
5. Regularly inspect the control instruments of the explosion-proof electric heater, perform measurements, and calibrate them to ensure the insulation is intact.
