Troubleshooting and Repair Methods for Liquid Heaters

Common malfunctions of liquid heaters mainly fall into the categories of no heating, slow heating, temperature control failure, and leakage. Most problems can be located and resolved by checking the power supply, temperature controller, heating element, and seals.
1. No Heating
The fault usually stems from a lack of power or damage to internal key components. First, check if the power plug is properly inserted and whether it is loose or damaged. If the plug is normal, use a multimeter to test the temperature controller; if damaged, it needs to be replaced. If the temperature controller is normal, further check the resistance of the heating element. Infinite resistance indicates that the heating element is damaged and must be replaced.
2. Slow Heating
Slow heating is often related to reduced heating element efficiency. This could be due to scale buildup on the heating element affecting heat conduction; a descaling agent can be used to clean it. It could also be due to insufficient power supply voltage; check if the household voltage is stable, and if so, contact the power company. If these problems are ruled out, the heating element's own power output may have decreased; replacing the heating element is the fundamental solution.
3. Temperature Control Failure
The root cause of temperature control failure is often in the control components. A multimeter is needed to test the thermostat and temperature sensor to determine if they are damaged. Once damaged, replacing the corresponding component will restore normal temperature control.
4. Leakage Leakage problems are often caused by aging seals or loose connections. First, locate the exact leak. If it's due to aging or cracked seals, replace them. If it's just a loose connection, tightening it will solve the problem.
