Understand the precautions for using experimental tube furnaces

1. After the first use or long-term use of the tube furnace, it should be baked at around 120 ℃ for 1 hour, and baked at around 300 ℃ for 2 hours before use to avoid furnace cracking. The furnace temperature should not exceed the rated temperature as much as possible to avoid damaging the heating elements and furnace lining. It is prohibited to directly inject various liquids and dissolve metals into the furnace to maintain cleanliness.

If a quartz tube is used in the furnace, when the temperature is above 1000 ℃, the high-temperature part of the quartz tube will appear opaque, which is called opacity. This is an inherent defect of continuous melting quartz tubes and is a normal phenomenon.

When using a cold furnace, due to the fact that the tubular furnace is cold and requires a large amount of heat absorption, the heating rate in the low-temperature section is not easy to be too fast, and the difference in heating rates between different temperature sections is not too large. When setting the heating rate, the physical and chemical properties of the sintered material should be fully considered to avoid the phenomenon of material spraying and pollution of the furnace tubes.

4. Regularly check whether the electrical connections of the temperature control system are in good contact, and pay special attention to whether the connections of each connection point of the heating element are tight.
