What are the factors affecting the service life of stamping dies
Leave a message
1、 Design quality of mould
1. Stamping process of parts
In the design of stamping process, avoid the design of too much process content, and the division of process content should be reasonable, avoid sharp corners of trimming and stamping die inserts, try to make the forming die flow evenly, avoid wrinkling and accumulation, try to select raw materials with good stamping process, and reduce the stamping deformation force.
2. Reasonable design of mold structure
When designing the die structure, the stress and structural strength of each structural member should be fully considered. A reasonable die structure can reduce the mechanical load level of the die and improve the bearing capacity of the die.
3. Selection of mold materials
The material division of each component shall be based on the stress condition of each component and the chemical composition, organizational structure, hardness and metallurgical quality of the material itself. The processing process of the working parts of the stamping die is generally complex, and must adapt to various complex processes such as cutting and heat treatment.
4. Select the precision of guide mechanism
In order to improve the service life of the die, it is necessary to select the correct precision and guide form of the guide mechanism according to the nature of the process and the precision of the parts. Accurate and reliable guide mechanism is very important for reducing the wear of working parts of the mold and avoiding the problem of mold gnawing.
2、 Die manufacturing quality
1. Quality of casting and forging
In the mold manufacturing stage, the quality control of the mold material is very important. The hidden defects in the use process may cause irreparable safety accidents, and also have a great impact on production.
2. Machining accuracy
The processing surface quality of the working parts of the mold has a significant impact on the anti-adhesion ability, wear resistance and anti-fracture ability of the mold. The processing accuracy of each part directly affects the overall accuracy of the mold. The parts with poor accuracy will continue to produce friction during the use of the mold, affecting the overall service life of the mold.
3. Assembly accuracy
The assembly process of all mounting faces and reference faces to be assembled shall be carried out to ensure the quality of each process. The assembly accuracy directly affects the product quality and die life.
4. Heat treatment
To achieve the hardness, strength, toughness and wear resistance required by the mold work, a good heat treatment process can give full play to the performance of the mold steel material, and an unreasonable heat treatment process will accelerate the mold wear, leading to the carbonization or insufficient hardness of the mold body, and affecting the mold life.
In the process of design, manufacture, use and maintenance of stamping dies, implement comprehensive die quality management and develop professional manufacturing mode, so as to better extend the service life of dies and ensure the production quality of parts.
