Usually, when using induction heating equipment for metal heat treatment, people tend to overlook the importance of cooling water and mistakenly believe that only clean tap water is sufficient, but this is not the case. Today, let's first take a look at which indicators of cooling water should be paid more attention to when using induction heating equipment!

(1) Electrical resistivity: If this value is low, the leakage current flowing through the induction coil, water-cooled cable rubber tube, and oscillation tube anode of the cooling water to the ground wire will be large.

(2) PH value: Considering the anti-corrosion effect, a high pH value (weakly alkaline) is beneficial. When the pH value is greater than 7, the amount of CaCO3 precipitation in the pipe increases, and this precipitation film has anti-corrosion effect; >8 will produce rust; <6 will corrode brass.

(3) Full hardness, calcium hardness, magnesium hardness: As these values increase, the adhesion to the pipe wall increases, thereby reducing the thermal conductivity of the copper pipe; When the temperature of the copper tube increases, scaling will accelerate, which will reduce the water flow cross-section and decrease the water flow rate.

(4) Oxygen consumption: This value indicates the microbial content. When there are many microorganisms, algae can grow inside the tube, which can easily cause blockage and damage to the instrument. When this value is high, sterilization is necessary.

(5) Chloride ion: When this value is high, it can cause corrosion damage, dissolve copper pipes, and rust iron pipes. If this value exceeds 50 × 10-6, it is necessary to use a deionization device for refining
