What equipment can monitor hot runner vibration?

There are two types of hot runner vibration monitoring equipment: online monitoring equipment and portable testing equipment. These types of equipment cover various use cases.
1. Portable Testing Equipment (most frequently used, appropriate for on-site troubleshooting)
The most popular monitoring tool is the portable vibration meter, which is affordable and simple to use. It can measure the frequency and amplitude of hot runner vibration directly and is attached to the outside of the mold using a magnetic base. It satisfies the majority of troubleshooting requirements. Products from well-known manufacturers like Bosch and UNI-T are mature.
Stethoscope-type Vibration Detector: This device, which is comparable to an improved form of a medical stethoscope, is capable of amplifying anomalous vibrations inside the hot runner, making it useful for rapidly identifying the precise site of vibration and identifying whether it is manifold or nozzle vibration.
A professional tool for testing resonance problems is the portable modal analyzer. It is appropriate for exact analysis of complicated faults since it can precisely measure the hot runner system's inherent frequency and verify whether it coincides with the excitation frequency.
2. Online Monitoring Tools (Adequate for Extended Monitoring in Large-Scale Production)
Integrated Vibration Sensor: This device can be mounted directly on the hot runner manifold's side to track changes in vibration amplitude and frequency in real time. When vibration above the threshold, an automatic alert is set off and data is synchronized with the injection molding machine control system. Ideal for large-scale mass manufacturing on sophisticated injection molding production lines.
In-Mold Monitoring Integrated System: A three-in-one online temperature, pressure, and vibration monitoring module is integrated into some high-end hot runner systems. In order to minimize unexpected downtime, this system can monitor variations in hot runner vibration during production in real time and provide early indications of loosening, fatigue, and other issues.
