What's wrong with the thermocouple not discharging

Thermocouples are sensors that measure temperature and reflect the measured temperature by measuring thermoelectric potential. But sometimes we find that thermocouples don't discharge, what's going on? Let's explore together below.
1. Possible malfunctions of thermocouples
Thermocouples are composed of two different types of metal wires, which generate thermoelectric potential at the contact point. If the thermocouple has poor contact, disconnected circuit, or damaged thermocouple components, it may cause the thermocouple to not discharge.
2. Line connection issues
The discharge problem of thermocouples is closely related to the wiring connection. If the connector of the thermocouple is loose or has poor contact, the current cannot pass through normally, resulting in the thermocouple not discharging.
3. Aging of metal wires
Long term use of thermocouple wires may lead to aging issues, resulting in a decrease in their conductivity, which in turn affects the discharge effect of the thermocouple.
4. The ambient temperature is too high
Thermocouples are mainly used for temperature measurement in high-temperature environments, but if the ambient temperature exceeds the tolerance range of the thermocouple, it may cause discharge problems in the thermocouple.
5. Power supply issues
The discharge of thermocouples requires power supply. If the power supply voltage is too low or there is a power failure, the discharge cannot be carried out normally.
6. Calibration issues
The discharge results of thermocouples need to be calibrated. If the calibration is inaccurate or the deviation is too large, it can also affect the normal discharge of thermocouples.
The non discharge of thermocouples may be caused by factors such as circuit connection issues, aging of metal wires, high ambient temperatures, power supply issues, or calibration issues. When we encounter this situation, we need to carefully check the wiring connection of the thermocouple, the aging of the wires, and the temperature of the surrounding environment, eliminate faults, and make corresponding repairs or replacements. Only by ensuring the normal discharge of the thermocouple can the temperature be accurately measured and the normal operation be ensured.
