What specialized tools are needed to install an online sensor?

Just three specialist equipment are needed to install a hot runner vibration online sensor; the remaining tools are common maintenance tools. In particular:

High-temperature shielded cable: Heating coils can cause electromagnetic interference when hot runners are operating at high temperatures. To endure the high temperatures and protect against interference, a high-temperature resistant (≥300°C) shielded cable is necessary to guaranty signal stability.

Sensor wire and installation gaps are sealed with high-temperature sealant/insulating adhesive. Ordinary sealants will melt and fail at high temperatures, so it is necessary to choose an industrial-grade high-temperature adhesive with a temperature resistance of ≥300°C.

The torque of the sensor mounting screws can be carefully controlled with a torque wrench. While insufficient torque can cause the sensor to loosen and compromise measurement accuracy, excessive torque can harm the sensor.

The sensor mounting threads must be machined using additional drill bits and tapping tools of the appropriate size if the mold lacks pre-drilled mounting holes. There is no need for particular customisation; all of these specialist tools may be bought straight from industrial supplies stores.
