When installing an electric duct heater, what key links are easily overlooked?

When installing an electric duct heater, in order to ensure the safe operation of the equipment, you need to pay attention to several key links. However, the following details are often overlooked and need special attention:
1. Installation environment and location selection
Ventilation and heat dissipation
The electric duct heater should be installed in a well-ventilated area to avoid humidity, high temperature or closed environment. Sufficient space should be reserved around the equipment to ensure air circulation and prevent heat accumulation from overheating or damage to the equipment.
Away from dangerous sources
The installation location should be away from flammable, explosive items and corrosive gases to avoid safety accidents caused by environmental factors.
2. Electrical connection and safety protection
Power matching and grounding
The power supply voltage and frequency must be strictly matched with the equipment requirements to avoid overload or undervoltage. All electric heating equipment must be grounded to prevent leakage from causing electric shock accidents.
Cables and terminals
Use cables and terminals that meet the specifications to ensure a firm connection. The electrical part must be completely sealed to prevent water and dust from entering, and equipped with electrical protective covers and overload protection devices.
Marking and inspection
After the wiring is completed, the electrical circuit needs to be marked for subsequent maintenance. After installation, check whether the electrical wiring is firm to avoid malfunctions caused by poor contact.
III. Duct system design and installation
Duct size and layout
Duct size should be designed according to fan specifications and heater power to avoid excessive or too small air flow. The layout should be simple, reduce elbows and narrow channels, and reduce wind resistance.
Duct material and connection
Duct material should be resistant to high temperature and corrosion, and galvanized steel or stainless steel is commonly used. The connection should be well sealed to prevent air leakage and ensure air flow stability.
Fan and heater docking
The fan and heater should be reasonably docked to ensure smooth air flow. The installation height and angle should meet the design requirements to avoid fan vibration or noise.
IV. Temperature control system installation and debugging
Thermostat and sensor
Thermostat should be selected according to the operating temperature range and installed away from the high temperature area of the heating element. The temperature sensor should be installed at the heater outlet or in the middle of the duct to ensure accurate measurement.
Debugging and testing
After installation, the temperature control system needs to be debugged to check whether the temperature adjustment function is normal. By gradually increasing the temperature setting value, test whether the system can automatically adjust the power of the heating element to ensure stable temperature.
V. Safety inspection and maintenance
Insulation resistance test
Before installation, the insulation resistance between the power access terminal and the metal shell must be measured to ensure that it is not less than 2MΩ.
Protective device inspection
Check whether the safety devices such as thermal protectors and leakage protection are installed in place to ensure that the power supply can be cut off in time when the equipment fails.
Regular maintenance
After the equipment is in operation, the electrical circuit, heating element and air duct sealing must be checked regularly, and aging or damaged parts must be replaced in time.
VI. Operating specifications and emergency measures
Operation training
Operators must receive professional training and be familiar with the equipment operating procedures and safety precautions.
Emergency handling
Develop an emergency plan to ensure that the power supply can be quickly cut off in case of an emergency to avoid the expansion of the accident.
