Choose the appropriate mounting accessories
Use an appropriate fixing fixture: According to the shape and size of the sensor and heater, choose a suitable fixing fixture, such as a C-clamp, U-clamp or a customized fixture. For cylindrical Teflon heaters, the U-clamp can better hold the heater and press the sensor tightly on its surface; for flat heaters, the C-clamp can be fixed by bolts to provide a stable clamping force.
Use a mounting bracket: If the sensor has a matching mounting bracket, the bracket can be fixed to the structure near the heater by screws or welding, and then the sensor is installed on the bracket and adjusted to fit closely with the surface of the heater. This method is suitable for situations where high precision is required for the installation position of the sensor.
Use a reliable fixing method
Screw fixing: If there are corresponding mounting holes on the Teflon heater and temperature sensor, screws can be used for fixing. When tightening the screws, use the appropriate tools and tighten them step by step in a diagonal manner to ensure that the sensor is evenly stressed and in close contact with the surface of the heater. Be careful not to over-tighten the screws to avoid damaging the sensor or heater.
Paste fixation: For some thin and light temperature sensors, high temperature resistant thermal conductive glue can be used for pasting. First clean the surface of the heater and the pasting surface of the sensor, then evenly apply the thermal conductive glue, accurately place the sensor in the predetermined position, and apply a certain amount of pressure to make it fully fit with the surface of the heater. During the curing process of the glue, avoid external interference with the sensor.
Ferrule fixation: For certain types of temperature sensors, such as thermocouples or thermal resistors with ferrules, the ferrule can be placed on the surface of the heater and the sensor can be fixed by tightening the nut on the ferrule. The design of the ferrule can keep the sensor in good contact with the surface of the heater while providing a reliable fixing effect.
Post-installation inspection and reinforcement
Check the installation status: After the installation is completed, carefully check whether the installation position of the sensor is correct, whether the fixing accessories are installed in place, and whether there is a gap or looseness between the sensor and the surface of the heater. If there is a problem, adjust and repair it in time.
Reinforcement treatment: For some Teflon heaters used in a vibration environment, sealant or epoxy resin can be used around the sensor installation part for reinforcement to prevent the sensor from loosening due to vibration.
