Where should the temperature sensor be mounted on the Teflon heater?

The location where the temperature sensor is installed on the Teflon heater needs to take into account the structure of the heater, the shape of the heated object, and the area where local overheating may occur. The following are some common installation locations:
Heater surface: For Teflon heaters with simpler structures and more uniform heating, the temperature sensor can be installed on the surface of the heater, close to the heating element or where the highest temperature is expected. This can directly measure the temperature of the heater surface and reflect the working status of the heater. If the heater is flat, it can be installed at the center or edge of the flat plate to monitor the uniformity of the temperature.
Contact between the heated object and the heater: Installing the temperature sensor on the contact surface between the heated object and the heater can more accurately measure the actual heat and temperature received by the heated object, so as to accurately control the power of the heater according to the temperature of the heated object, and avoid local overheating or insufficient heating of the heated object due to heat transfer problems between the two.
Near the heating element: If the distribution of the heating elements inside the heater is known, the temperature sensor can be installed near the heating element, especially in the area where heat concentration or heat dissipation is difficult, such as the bend of the heating wire and the end of the heating tube. This allows direct monitoring of the operating temperature of the heating element, and timely detection of local overheating problems caused by heating element failure or uneven current.
Locations prone to local overheating: Based on the experience of using the heater or the results of previous thermal analysis and testing, determine specific locations where local overheating may occur, such as corners, edges, and places where obstacles block heat transfer, and install temperature sensors at these locations to monitor and control local overheating in a targeted manner.
In addition, if the Teflon heater is used in a specific device or system, it is also necessary to consider the temperature distribution and heat flow of the entire system, and install the temperature sensor at the most critical position for system temperature control to achieve effective monitoring and precise control of the entire heating process. At the same time, in order to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the temperature sensor measurement, the sensor must be in close contact with the installation location during installation to avoid air gaps or looseness.
