I. Low-concentration fluorine decomposition scenario (HF concentration < 50 ppm) Key characteristics: Only a small amount of fluoroplastics decomposes, with no obvious corrosion marks. The normal operating temperature of the hot runner is ≤ 250℃. Preferred high-cost-performance material: Hard chrome plated H13 steel (plating thickness ≥ 0.05 mm) Advantages: Procurement cost is only 1.2 times that of conventional H13 steel. No need to replace the original nozzle substrate; the plating can be applied directly to the runner surface. Service life can reach 3-6 months, fully covering the requirements for mild corrosion, with extremely low modification costs. Supporting optimization: Pairing with ordinary PFA insulated wires can meet basic corrosion protection requirements. II. Medium-concentration fluorine decomposition scenario (HF concentration 50~200 ppm) Key characteristics: Fluoroplastics decompose stably over a long period, with slight pitting corrosion on the runner surface. The normal operating temperature of the hot runner is 250~280℃. Preferred High-Performance Material: Inconel 625 Alloy Advantages: Procurement cost is 3.5 times that of conventional H13 steel; excellent resistance to fluoride pitting; service life of 12-18 months; 30% lower cost compared to C276; balances corrosion resistance and investment cost; suitable for moderately corrosive environments. Optimized Matching: Equipped with perfluoroether rubber seals to block the overflow path of decomposition products. III. High-Concentration Fluoride Decomposition Product Scenarios (HF Concentration > 200ppm) Key Characteristics: Fluoroplastics decompose rapidly at high temperatures, resulting in significant corrosion and greening of the flow channels; typical operating temperature of hot runners is 280-320℃. Preferred High-Performance Material: Hastelloy C276 Advantages: Procurement cost is 5 times that of conventional H13 steel; service life of 24-36 months, more than twice that of Inconel 625; lowest total life-cycle maintenance cost; the most cost-effective choice for severely corrosive environments. Optimized Support: Paired with high-purity PFA insulated wires to enhance the corrosion resistance of electrical components. IV. Extreme High-Concentration Fluorine Decomposition Scenario (HF Concentration > 500ppm) Key Characteristics: Fluoroplastics undergo prolonged high-temperature decomposition, ordinary alloys corrode rapidly, and localized temperatures in hot runners exceed 320℃. Preferred High-Cost-Effective Material: High-purity alumina ceramic-lined H13 steel Advantages: Procurement cost is 4 times that of conventional H13 steel; it does not react with HF at all; service life reaches 18-24 months; cost is 20% lower than using C276 overall; suitable for extreme corrosive conditions. Optimized Support: Regularly use fluorine passivation paste to maintain exposed metal surfaces, further extending service life.
