Working principle of induction heating in pipe bending machine

The principle of induction heating in pipe bending machines is electromagnetic induction, where heat is generated within the workpiece itself. Ordinary workers can begin continuous forging operations within ten minutes of starting work, eliminating the need for specialized furnace operators to preheat and seal the furnace. There is no need to worry about wasting already heated billets due to power outages or equipment malfunctions.

Because of the rapid heating rate, oxidation is minimal. Compared to coal-fired furnaces, pipe bending machines save at least 20-50 kg of steel raw materials per ton of forgings, achieving a material utilization rate of up to 95%. The uniform heating and minimal core-to-surface temperature difference significantly extend the lifespan of forging dies.

Pipe bending machines typically consist of a medium-frequency power supply, compensation capacitors, an induction furnace body, and pneumatic or electric feeding mechanisms. For customers with high automation requirements, automatic feeding, track conveying, temperature detection, and automatic sorting mechanisms can be added.
