Zero calibration method for thermocouple thermometer
Leave a message
Thermocouple thermometer is a commonly used sensor for measuring temperature. It converts temperature into voltage signal through electromagnetic induction principle. Therefore, it needs to be zeroed before use to ensure the accuracy of temperature.
1. Using gas
Using gas for zeroing is a common method. The specific steps are as follows:
Prepare a constant temperature bath and a stable reference thermometer.
Put the thermocouple and the reference thermometer into the constant temperature bath at the same time to make their temperature reach equilibrium.
Record the temperature values of the thermocouple and the reference thermometer and calculate the difference between them.
Correct the reading of the thermocouple thermometer with the difference to complete the zeroing.
2. Using ice point
Using ice point for zeroing is also a common method. The specific steps are as follows:
Prepare a container with ice cubes and water.
Put the thermocouple and the reference thermometer into the container at the same time to make it contact with the ice cubes.
Wait for a while for the temperature to reach equilibrium.
Record the temperature values of the thermocouple and the reference thermometer and calculate the difference between them.
Zeroing is done by correcting the reading of the thermocouple thermometer with the difference.
The accuracy and reliability of the thermocouple thermometer can be improved by using gas or ice point for zeroing. In actual operation, choose the appropriate zeroing method and perform zeroing operation regularly as needed to ensure the accuracy of temperature measurement.
