FAMEX, founded in 2015, is an initiative aimed at promoting Mexico's economic development in the field of national aviation, which points out the direction for Mexico's development. It is organized by the Mexican Ministry of Defense and the Mexican Air Force.
FAMEX's mission is to establish a sustainable international aviation and aerospace exposition in Mexico, with prestige and leadership, attract foreign direct investment, create employment opportunities for the national aviation industry, and promote Mexico's aviation industry, civil and military aviation, technology and defense products. Its headquarters is located in Mexico's First Military Air Force Base (Saint Lucia, Mexico State).
FAMEX, attended by 635 leading companies in the aerospace field from 39 countries, 61 aircraft were exhibited, and 52000 professional visitors from the field, became one of the most important expositions in Latin America.
