In certain regions of China (Henan, Xinjiang) and the Middle East, there are significant amounts of chloride ions (up to 80mg/L) and sulfate ions (up to 140mg/L) in groundwater. If this groundwater is directly used in water heaters without treatment, the outer pipes of electric heating pipes such as Ingley 800 or 840 may experience pitting corrosion within a few months (or even weeks), causing perforation and damage to the outer pipes of the electric heating pipes. But if the outer tube of the electric heating tube is 316L or copper tube, its service life can reach 1-2 years.
