Analysis of causes of blockage in rotary kiln

1. Porcelain roller pollution: The pollution of the porcelain roller of the rotary kiln is mainly manifested by the oil on the porcelain roller, which forms bumps of different sizes on the porcelain roller. Due to improper control of glaze application on green bricks, many glaze droplets may adhere to the bottom surface of the product, which can lead to softening of the glaze droplets during high-temperature calcination, resulting in uneven roller diameters, resulting in certain resistance to the products running on the ceramic roller, resulting in irregular arrangement and product overlap. When the overlapping products exceed the high-temperature load softening point of the ceramic roller, the fracture of the ceramic roller can cause kiln blockage.
2. The firing temperature and firing atmosphere are unreasonable: The temperature adjustment of the rotary kiln is to divide the burners into several groups in the pre heating zone and the firing zone, and the cooling zone is controlled by controlling the cooling air volume. During the process of adjusting the firing temperature, convex deformations can easily be embedded between the rollers, causing the rollers to break and causing blockage in the furnace. Improper control of the cooling belt can lead to wind cracking of the product, and the insertion of broken products between the rollers can also cause blockage. Improper adjustment of the atmosphere system may also cause deformation, blistering, and product stacking during the firing process.
3. The "swing" operation time of the brick in the kiln is too long: the control system of the kiln adopts interlocking automatic control. In the event of a power outage or mechanical equipment failure, the motion state of all rollers automatically changes to a swing state based on the power frequency, causing the product to move back and forth in the kiln, causing deformation of the product due to excessive calcination time, causing blockage in the rotary kiln.
4. Neutral firing: The firing process in the kiln is continuous. If the brick feed is not stable, it can also cause the products in the kiln to form a gap under the cover of the ceramic roller, resulting in unstable kiln pressure and large temperature fluctuations, leading to product deformation and product blockage.
5. Loose ceramic roller pads: Loose and convex ceramic roller pads can cause the rollers to not rotate in the same plane, causing product stacking or insertion between the rollers, resulting in furnace blockage.
6. Uneven arrangement of kiln inlet bricks: Uneven arrangement of kiln inlet bricks will cause products to collide with the kiln body, resulting in deformation or overlap of products, and in serious cases, the kiln will be blocked.
There are many reasons for clogging the rotary kiln, so we should also pay attention to avoiding the above problems when operating the kiln.
