Applicable objects of different electroplating processing methods

Electroplating technology, also known as electrodeposition, is one of the main methods for obtaining metal coatings on material surfaces. Under the action of a direct current electric field, a circuit is formed by the anode and cathode in the electrolyte solution (plating solution) to deposit metal ions in the solution onto the surface of the cathode plated part. Electroplating can be divided into hanging plating, rolling plating, continuous plating, and brush plating, which are mainly related to the size and batch size of the workpiece to be plated.

Applicable objects for hanging plating, rolling plating, continuous plating, and brush plating:

(1) Hanging plating is a process in which the workpiece is clamped onto a hanging fixture, suitable for large parts, with a small quantity of products that can be plated per batch, and a coating thickness of 10 μ m or more. Such as car bumpers, bicycle handlebars, etc. The hanging plating production line can be divided into manual line and automatic line.

(2) Continuous plating, in simple terms, refers to the uninterrupted electroplating process of an object through different plating tanks to complete the entire electroplating process, suitable for mass production of wire and strip.

(3) Brush plating is a method of selective electroplating that uses an electrode or brush connected to the same anode and capable of providing the required electrolyte for electroplating. It is suitable for local plating or repair, and can be moved on the workpiece as the cathode.

(4) Roll plating is usually suitable for small parts. Roll plating, strictly speaking, is a electroplating process that involves placing a certain number of small parts in a dedicated drum and indirectly conducting electricity to deposit various metal or alloy coatings on the surface of the parts in a rolling state, in order to achieve surface protection, decoration, and various functional purposes.
