Application and Development of Air Coolers
Air cooled heat exchanger (referred to as air cooler) is a heat exchange equipment that uses ambient air as the cooling medium, and the fan forces the air to cross the outside of the finned tube, cooling or condensing the high-temperature process fluid inside the tube. The air cooler unit consists of three basic parts: finned tube bundles, fans, and frames, as well as auxiliary parts such as louvers, maintenance platforms, and ladders. Using natural air as a cooling medium saves valuable water resources, reduces industrial wastewater discharge, and protects the natural environment. Widely used in chemical, petrochemical, thermal power plants, polycrystalline silicon, polyvinyl chloride, metallurgical cement, production line waste incineration power plants, and so on. Recently, air coolers have three types of structures: induced draft, top air, and inclined top.
Air cooled heat exchanger technology:
Wuxi Kaisaida Heat Exchanger Manufacturing Co., Ltd. utilizes advanced air cooler design software and mature air cooler manufacturing processes to provide users with a complete set of air cooler technical solutions based on different fin types and header structure types. The air cooler tube bundle adopts a modular design, which can be combined by multiple modules for heat exchange conditions with high heat loads, making it easy to install and transport. The axial flow fan adopts transmission methods such as V-belt transmission, gear reduction transmission, and direct motor transmission. Axial flow fans can adopt variable frequency control to adjust the air volume as needed, achieving the goal of controlling the outlet temperature of materials and saving energy. The air cooler calculation software can simulate and verify the heat transfer process, and obtain the best heat transfer performance and cost-effectiveness through design.
There are three types of air coolers according to their structure: blower type horizontal air cooler, induced draft type horizontal air cooler, and inclined top type air cooler.
Blast type horizontal air cooler:
The tube bundle is located on the exhaust side of the fan, which is easy to maintain and repair. The fan motor is always located in a colder air environment, suitable for systems with higher process medium temperatures, and can effectively extend the service life of the equipment.
Induced draft horizontal air cooler:
The tube bundle is located on the suction side of the fan. Due to the good blocking effect of the air duct on the heat exchange finned tube from sunlight, wind, rain, and snow, the induced draft air cooler has relatively stable heat transfer performance. At the same time, it has the characteristics of uniform air flow distribution, less thermal circulation, less pollution, and low noise.
