Temperature measurement contacts for armored thermocouples
Choose the appropriate contact type based on the intended use.
Grounding type
This type of thermocouple directly welds the thermocouple lead wire to the front end of the sleeve, forming a temperature measurement contact. Its characteristic is fast response. Due to the continuity between the lead and the casing, it cannot be used in places with noise or danger.
Ungrounded type
The thermocouple lead of this type of thermocouple is fully insulated from the casing, forming a temperature measurement contact. Its responsiveness is not as good as grounded, but it can be used for a long time. In addition, it can also be used in places with noise or danger without being affected by various factors.
Exposed end type
The thermocouple leads of this type of thermocouple are exposed from the casing, forming a temperature measurement contact. It has an advantage in responsiveness among the three types and can respond to subtle temperature changes. It can be used in situations such as engine testing that require fast responsiveness. However, the strength is very low and is basically only used as a one-time use.
