Characteristics of PTC ceramic heating elements

1. What is PTC? PTC is the abbreviation of English. In Chinese, it is called positive temperature coefficient thermistor, which means that it reaches the temperature midpoint after being powered on and heated. At this time, the resistance shows an infinite positive temperature coefficient. Its material is powdered materials such as rare earth barium carbonate, which are sintered at high temperature. The ingredients should be determined according to the voltage and temperature required by the user. The voltage can be determined within 3-120v for direct current and the temperature can be determined within 10℃-315℃.
2. The cold resistance of the PTC heating element is small, the low voltage is about 0.5ω-35ω, and the high voltage is 80ω-50kω (the common resistance of 110ω-220v voltage is about 200ω-3kω), so the current is large after power is turned on and the heating is fast. When the temperature reaches the midpoint (such as 100℃), the current drops sharply to maintain a small current, and then the temperature is in a constant temperature state.
Therefore, the PTC heating element has self-characteristics, corrosion resistance, no open flame (safety), more power saving, and long service life.
3. PTC heater heating elements can be made into various heaters.
1.N PTC elements can be connected in parallel to make heating plates or immersion heaters of different powers.
2.After N PTC elements are connected in parallel, they can be made into aluminum corrugated heaters of different powers, which are used for heaters and air-conditioning auxiliary heaters
Therefore, PTC ceramic heating elements have good self-control constant temperature characteristics, save a lot of electricity, and have a long service life. At present, they are widely used in various industrial, agricultural and civil heating products.
