Characteristics of thermocouple temperature measurement

Temperature is a very important physical parameter. In production and scientific experiments, people often encounter temperature and temperature measurement problems. There are many methods for temperature measurement, and thermocouple temperature measurement is one of the most widely used methods. Thermocouple temperature measurement has the following characteristics:

① High temperature measurement accuracy. When measuring temperature, due to the good thermal contact between the hot end of the thermocouple and the object being measured, a high temperature measurement accuracy can be obtained.

② Simple structure and easy maintenance. Weld one end of two different conductors or semiconductors together, and insulate the other parts. The hot end of the weld is placed in the temperature field, and the two cold end poles are connected to the secondary instrument to form a complete thermocouple temperature measurement device.

③ Fast dynamic response speed. The hot end of the thermocouple is small in size, small in heat capacity, and fast in dynamic response speed.

④ Wide temperature measurement range. Various types of thermocouples have their own temperature measurement ranges, which together constitute a very wide temperature measurement range, generally -271~2800℃.

⑤ Can measure local or even "point" temperature. The hot end of the thermocouple is small in size and has a small contact area with the object being measured.

⑥ The signal can be transmitted remotely, which is convenient for centralized detection and automatic control. The thermoelectric potential generated by the thermocouple can be transmitted to the display instrument over a long distance through the connecting wire and connected to the automatic control network, which is convenient for centralized patrol detection and automatic control.
