Classification of different cooling methods for electromagnetic induction heaters
Leave a message
The induction heater is directly used to heat the workpiece and is also the inductance of the resonant circuit. The design and matching of the induction heater directly affect the resonant frequency, heating efficiency, impedance matching, heating effect, etc. of the power supply. Sensors can be divided into two types based on cooling methods: air-cooled induction heaters and water-cooled induction heaters. They can be divided into soft cable sensors and copper tube sensors based on the materials used. The following are mainly introduced based on the classification of air cooled sensors and water cooled sensors by cooling method.
1 Air cooled induction heater
The air cooling inductor is mainly Free cooling by air or forced ventilation cooling. It is generally made of flexible cable, generally Free cooling. In some cases, it can also be made of copper bars, copper pipes and other materials, but generally requires forced ventilation cooling. Due to the fact that flexible cables have no fixed shape, they can be directly wound onto the surface of the workpiece, and can also be made into sensors with fixed shapes through frames and fixation.
Its advantages are: winding and detachable, suitable for heterosexual workpieces, good adhesion, low loss, good flexibility, suitable for making various special shaped sensors. However, it should be noted that the heat dissipation capacity of air-cooled induction cables is not as strong as that of water cooling, and they cannot be overheated. Generally, the temperature of conventional air-cooled induction cables cannot exceed 200 ℃. When the heating temperature is high, insulation is required between the cable and the workpiece. When using longer cables, it is relatively heavy, and it is inconvenient to wind and disassemble them if they are too long.
2 water-cooled induction heater
Water cooled sensors are suitable for applications with high output current or high heating temperature. They are generally made of hollow copper tubes or water-cooled cables into a certain shape and then fixed.
