(3) The coating thickness is uniform, the adhesion is strong, and the coating quality is good. A uniform and smooth coating film can be obtained at various parts of the workpiece, such as the inner layer, depression, weld seam, etc., solving the coating problem of complex shaped workpieces using other coating methods;

(4) High production efficiency, construction can achieve automated continuous production, greatly improving labor efficiency;

(5) The equipment is complex, the investment cost is high, and the power consumption is high. The temperature required for drying and solidification is high, and the management of coatings and coatings is complex. The construction conditions are strict, and wastewater treatment is required;

(6) Only water-soluble coatings can be used, and the color cannot be changed during the coating process. The stability of the coatings is difficult to control after being stored for too long.

1、 Equipment for electrophoretic coating

The equipment for electrophoretic coating is composed of an electrophoretic tank, a stirring device, a coating filtration device, a temperature regulating device, a coating management device, a DC power supply device, a water washing device after electrophoretic coating, an ultrafiltration device, a baking device, a backup tank, etc.

The size and shape of the electrophoresis tank body need to be determined based on the size, shape, and construction process of the workpiece. Under the condition of ensuring a certain distance between poles, it should be designed as small as possible. The tank is equipped with a filtering device and a temperature regulating device to ensure a certain temperature of the paint liquid and remove impurities and bubbles from the circulating paint liquid. The mixing device can maintain a uniform and consistent working paint liquid, and circulation pumps are often used. The circulation of paint liquid is generally 4-6 times per hour. When the circulation pump is started, the paint liquid level in the tank should be evenly stirred. The function of the coating management device is to supplement and adjust the coating composition, control the pH value of the tank solution, remove neutralizers using diaphragm electrodes, and eliminate low molecular weight components using ultrafiltration devices. The selection of electrophoresis power supply generally adopts DC power supply. Rectification equipment can use silicon rectifiers or controllable silicon. The magnitude of the current is related to the properties, temperature, working area, and electrification method of the coating, generally ranging from 30 to 50A/m2. The water washing device is used for washing workpieces before and after electrophoretic coating. Generally, deionized water is used, but pressurized equipment is required. A commonly used washing nozzle with a spiral body is used. The baking device is used to promote the drying and film formation of electrophoretic coatings, and can use resistance furnaces, induction electric furnaces, and infrared baking equipment. The design of the drying room should have three stages: preheating, heating, and post heating, which should be formulated based on the type of coating and the condition of the workpiece.
