Eight categories of injection mold

1. Injection mold with single parting surface
When the mold is opened, the moving mold and the fixed mold are separated to take out the plastic part, which is called single parting surface mold, also called double plate mold. It is a relatively simple and basic form of injection molding tools. It can be designed as a single-cavity injection mold or a multi-cavity injection mold according to needs. It is a widely used injection mold.
2. Injection mold with double parting surface
The injection mould with double parting surface has two parting surfaces. Compared with the injection mould with single parting surface, the injection mould with double parting surface has added an intermediate plate that can be moved locally in the fixed mold part, so it is also called three-plate injection mould. It is often used for injection mould with single cavity or multiple cavities with point gate feeding. When opening the mold, the intermediate plate is separated from the fixed mold at a fixed distance on the guide pillar of the fixed mold, In order to take out the pouring system aggregate between the two templates. The double-parting surface injection mold has complex structure, high manufacturing cost and difficult parts processing. It is generally not used for the molding of large or extra-large plastic products.
3. Injection mold with side parting and core pulling mechanism
When the plastic parts have side holes or side recesses, they need to be formed with laterally movable cores or sliders. After injection molding, the moving mold first moves downward for a certain distance, and then the inclined section of the bent pin fixed on the fixed template forces the slider to move outward. At the same time, the push rod of the release mechanism pushes the push plate to make the plastic part detach from the core.
4. Injection mold with movable molding parts
Due to some special structures of plastic parts, the injection mold is required to set movable molding parts, such as movable punch, movable concave mold, movable insert, movable thread core or ring, etc., which can be moved out of the mold together with the plastic parts during demoulding and then separated from the plastic parts.
5. Automatic thread removal injection mold
For plastic parts with threads, when automatic demoulding is required, a thread core or ring that can rotate can be set on the mold, and the mold opening action or the rotating mechanism of the injection molding machine can be used, or a special transmission device can be set to drive the thread core or thread ring to rotate, thus demoulding the plastic parts.
6. Injection mold without runner
Non-channel injection mold refers to the method of adiabatic heating of the convection channel to keep the plastic from the nozzle to the cavity of the injection molding machine in a molten state, so that there is no pouring system condensate when the plastic parts are taken out. The former is called adiabatic runner injection mold, and the latter is called hot runner injection mold.
7. Right angle injection mold
The right-angle injection molding tool is only applicable to the angle injection molding machine, which is different from other injection molding tools in that the direction of feeding is perpendicular to the direction of opening and closing. The main runner is set on both sides of the parting surface of the moving and fixed mold, and its sectional area is usually constant, which is different from the mold used in other injection molding machines. In order to prevent the wear and deformation of the nozzle of the injection molding machine and the inlet end of the main runner, replaceable runner inserts can be set.
8. Injection mold with demoulding mechanism on fixed mold
In most injection molds, the demoulding device is installed on the side of the moving mold, which is conducive to the work of the ejector in the opening and closing system of the injection molding machine. In actual production, because some plastic parts are limited by shape, it is better to leave the plastic parts on the side of the fixed mold for molding. This makes the plastic parts come out of the mold, so the release mechanism should be set on the side of the fixed mold
