Electric heat tracing systems prevent condensation in liquefied natural gas

Natural gas pipeline transportation typically involves liquefying natural gas into a liquid for easier transport. Winter temperatures in northern China plummet, and condensation easily forms at low temperatures, making transportation difficult and potentially leading to supply shortages. To alleviate this imbalance in natural gas supply and demand, most oil and gas storage and transportation companies use electric heating cables attached to pipelines or tanks for frost protection and insulation. This prevents condensation from forming on liquefied natural gas, ensuring a stable and orderly supply during the winter.
Natural gas contains relatively high levels of water and oil. The condensate and water components of liquefied natural gas increase in viscosity at low temperatures, making condensation more likely to form and potentially cause pipeline blockages. Using self-regulating electric heating cables effectively maintains the temperature of the pipeline medium. Given the unique characteristics of liquefied natural gas, we need to select electric heating cables with explosion-proof protection.
The explosion-proof electric heating system consists of an explosion-proof and corrosion-resistant pipe heating cable and related accessories, including an explosion-proof power junction box, terminal junction box, temperature controller, and heat-resistant pressure-sensitive tape. The cable is wrapped around the outside of the pipe or tank and covered with insulation material, making installation simple. Pipe heating systems are widely used and can be customized based on the specific insulation requirements of the pipeline on site.
In addition to the performance of standard heating cables, the explosion-proof enhanced self-limiting temperature heating cable also offers explosion-proof and corrosion-resistant properties. "Explosion-proof" refers to the addition of a braided metal wire shielding layer to the basic self-limiting temperature heating cable, providing grounding and enhanced protection, suitable for use in explosion-proof locations. "Corrosion-resistant" refers to the addition of a fluoroplastic outer sheath over the shielding layer to achieve corrosion resistance.
