Electric heating system insulation can help reduce the viscosity of industrial molasses

Molasses, a byproduct of the sugar industry, is a viscous, dark-brown, semi-fluid substance. It contains a large amount of fermentable sugars (primarily sucrose), making it an excellent fermentation raw material. However, its viscosity increases in low temperatures, hindering transportation. Therefore, to ensure proper transportation of molasses in pipelines even at low temperatures, it requires frost protection and insulation. Electric heating systems can be used for this purpose.

Electric heating systems convert electrical energy into heat to protect pipes from freezing. Due to their ease of installation, high heating efficiency, and long service life, they are widely used for frost protection and insulation of industrial and domestic pipes. Compared to traditional heating methods, they are less susceptible to evaporation, bubbling, dripping, and leaking.

For molasses pipe insulation, self-limiting temperature heating cables can be used. They can be cut and cross-wound, and can be connected using two-way or three-way junction boxes. Installation can be done using either a straight-laid or wrapped method, depending on site conditions.

The self-limiting temperature heating tape adopts a self-developed insulation layer, which has a protective effect on the core tape. At the same time, it has a low starting current and high temperature resistance, avoiding the situation where the traditional self-limiting temperature heating tape may malfunction due to insufficient temperature resistance. It has been widely used and is deeply trusted by users.
