Insulation Measures Within the Electric Heating Thermal Oil Boiler

1. Operators of electric heating thermal oil boilers must receive training on thermal oil electric heaters and be certified by the local boiler safety supervision agency.

2. Units using electric heating thermal oil boilers must develop operating procedures for the oil heaters. These procedures should include instructions and precautions for starting, operating, shutting down, and emergency shutting down the heaters. Operators must follow these procedures.

3. Piping within the electric heating thermal oil boiler must be insulated, but flange joints should not be covered.

4. During the heating process, the exhaust valve of the expansion tank must be opened to exhaust all air, water, and organic heat carrier vapor before resuming normal operation.

5. Organic heat carriers must be dehydrated before use. Different organic heat carriers should not be mixed. If mixing is necessary, the organic heat carrier manufacturer must provide the mixing conditions and requirements.
6. The organic heat transfer medium used in electric thermal oil boilers should be analyzed annually for carbon residue, acid value, viscosity, and flash point. If any two of these analyses fail or the content of decomposed components in the heat transfer medium exceeds 10%, the heat transfer medium should be replaced or regenerated.
7. The heating surfaces of electric thermal oil boilers should be regularly inspected and cleaned, and the inspection and cleaning results should be recorded in the boiler's technical files.
8. After installation or major repairs to electric thermal oil boilers, the user and the installer or repairer must conduct a hydraulic pressure test at 1.5 times the operating pressure before commissioning. Only after passing the test can the boiler be put into operation. Local boiler safety supervision agencies should dispatch personnel to participate in the hydraulic and airtightness tests.
9. The boiler room should have effective fire prevention and firefighting measures.
