In the 1980s, industrialized countries such as Europe and America achieved rapid development in the research, development, and application of chemical plating technology. Ni Fe P (nickel iron phosphorus), Ni Co P (nickel cobalt phosphorus), Ni Mo P (nickel molybdenum phosphorus) and other coatings have been widely used in computer hard drives, magnetoacoustic recording systems, and sensor thin film electronics.
The chemical plating technology has a wide range of applications due to its inherent characteristics and excellent performance. China began to discuss electroless plating in the 1980s. In 1992, the country distributed the national standard (GB/T13913-92), which is called autocatalysis nickel phosphorus coating. China has widely used chemical plating technology in various industries such as the automotive industry, petrochemical industry, mechanical electronics, textile, printing, food machinery, aviation and aerospace, military industry, etc. Due to the application and rapid development of high-tech products such as electronic computers and communication, it has provided a broad market for chemical plating.
After 2000, on the one hand, due to the country's emphasis on environmental protection, and on the other hand, China's industrial development has increased the requirements for metal surface treatment, accelerating the development of chemical plating technology. The national high-tech catalog has also added chemical plating. Although chemical plating started relatively late in China, it has developed rapidly in recent years, and some performance technical indicators can be comparable to those of chemical plating in Europe and America. In addition, its low price and adaptability to the process flow of Chinese enterprises have attracted much attention to its development prospects.
