In the decorative electroplating process, imitation gold plating is the most widely used electroplating process. Although various products such as lighting fixtures, locks, ceiling fans, luggage, lighters, eyeglass frames, tie clips, etc. have various appearances, the vast majority of them are still gold plated. There are many ways to obtain a golden appearance, including plating with real gold, copper zinc, copper tin or copper tin imitation gold, plating with gold electrophoretic paint, and gold substitute adhesive technology. 1、 Imitation gold plating solution formula

The most commonly used and stable solution for copper zinc, copper tin, or copper zinc tin imitation gold electroplating is cyanide plating solution. Domestic factories generally use self prepared alloy electroplating solutions. We are happy to summarize our team's years of on-site experience and share the following formula with everyone:

Copper oxide 28-30 grams

Sodium cyanide 60-65 grams

Zinc cyanide 7-8 grams

Potassium sodium tartrate 6-8 grams

Potassium hydroxide 10-12 grams

Sodium stannate 1.5-2.5 grams

Cobalt sulfate trace

2. Foreign funded factories and some domestic factories also use bronze salts provided by foreign electroplating raw material suppliers to imitate gold. The process formula and operating conditions are:

Bronze salt 80-100g/L

Ammonia water 1-2ml/L

Temperature 35-50 degrees

Composition of plating solution:

Cu 15~18g/L

Zn 6~8g/L

Free NaCN 8-10g/L

2、 Imitation gold electroplating is not only about optimizing the content and temperature of complex compounds and copper, zinc, and tin in the formula, but also more importantly, the selection of current and time. The current is divided into three levels with different ampere numbers, and the three levels of current are controlled by time. The high, medium, and low cathode currents are opened, and the high current is then low. The hanging tool gently shakes continuously.
