How high a temperature can the heating wire of a stainless steel electric heating coil generally withstand?

Commonly used heating wires for stainless steel electric heating coils are nickel-chromium alloy wire and iron-chromium-aluminum alloy wire, and their high temperature resistance is different:
Nickel-chromium alloy wire: Generally, the highest temperature that can be tolerated is around 1000℃ - 1200℃. For example, Cr20Ni80, a common nickel-chromium alloy heating wire, can be stabilized at around 1050℃ - 1100℃ under long-term working conditions; in a short period of time, it can withstand a high temperature of nearly 1200℃. Nickel-chromium alloy wire has high oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance, good mechanical strength at high temperatures, and is not easy to deform. Therefore, it is widely used in various stainless steel electric heating coils and is suitable for occasions with high requirements for temperature stability.
Iron-chromium-aluminum alloy wire: The temperature that can be tolerated is relatively high, up to 1200℃ - 1400℃. Taking 0Cr25Al5 as an example, its normal working temperature can reach 1200℃ - 1300℃, and it can withstand a high temperature of around 1400℃ in a short period of time. The resistivity of iron-chromium-aluminum alloy wire is high, and its oxidation resistance is good at high temperature. Its price is relatively cheap compared to nickel-chromium alloy wire. However, its mechanical strength at high temperature is relatively poor, and it is easy to become brittle. Therefore, it is necessary to avoid severe vibration and impact during use.
The actual temperature that the heating wire can withstand is also affected by environmental factors, heat dissipation conditions, and the diameter and winding method of the heating wire. In practical applications, the type and specification of the heating wire should be reasonably selected according to the specific heating requirements and working environment to ensure the safe and stable operation of the stainless steel electric heating coil.
