How to deal with a flooded injection molding machine in an emergency?

Emergency treatment after the injection molding machine is flooded:

1. Electrical control part:

After entering the electrical components, it will cause corrosion and insulation performance degradation of various electrical components; generally follow the following steps:

1. Disconnect all power supplies.

2. Within a short period of time after water ingress, remove the battery on the I/O computer motherboard (it is recommended that customers operate in time) because when the I/O battery is not removed, individual components are still powered on, which will accelerate the rust and corrosion of these components of the injection molding machine, and will increase the difficulty and cost of component repair.

3. Remove the electrical components in the entire electrical box (operated by service personnel) and clean them with alcohol. If necessary, disassemble and clean the parts, including I/O board, 24V power supply, 5V power supply, transformer, AC contactor, air fast switch, axial flow fan, etc.

4. When drying, use the on-site drying hopper to completely dry all components. The decomposed and cleaned parts can be placed in the drying hopper in layers. The drying temperature is 50-70℃ and the drying time is 8-10 hours. Test whether the insulation resistance value meets the requirements (generally measured with 200k gear) to determine whether it is completely dry.

5. Check the dried and intact electrical components separately (operated by service personnel). They can be installed and used only after inspection.

II. Hydraulic part:

1. The injection molding machine oil pump cannot be turned on, because after turning on the motor, the water entering the hydraulic oil may enter the hydraulic pipeline system of the machine, causing corrosion of metal hydraulic components.

2. Check whether the hydraulic oil of the injection molding machine has water in it. Open the plug at the bottom of the oil tank on the rack, release a small amount of oil, and ignite it with paper. If the fire cannot be ignited during the burning process, it means that there is water in the hydraulic oil and all hydraulic oil needs to be replaced. (You can also use anhydrous copper sulfate to test whether it will turn blue. If it turns blue, it means it contains water.)

3. If there is water in the oil, you need to replace the hydraulic oil in the tank. Wipe the tank with a clean cloth before changing the oil.
