How to Determine if an Organization Has CNAS Accreditation

You may easily confirm an organization's CNAS accreditation through approved means. The following three steps can be used to acquire the results:

1. First Step: Request Accreditation Documents for Initial Verification from the Organization

First, get a copy of the organization's CNAS accreditation certificate and the "Appendix to the Accredited Testing/Calibration Competency Scope." Concentrate on confirming two points:

Verify the validity of the certificate;

Look for hot runner-related calibration items in the competency appendix, such as "temperature measurement," "thermocouple calibration," and "resistance temperature detector calibration." The company satisfies the requirements if these items are present.

2. Step 2: Verification of the Official Website (Most Authoritative, Check in 1 Minute)

For results that are completely correct, use the official CNAS platform:

Navigate to the "Organization Inquiry" section of the "China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) Official Website";

Choose "Calibration/Testing Organization Inquiry" and input the entire name or CNAS certificate number of the organization;

Click "Accredited Scope of Competence" after locating the organization's details to see if it contains temperature calibration items. If the matching items are present, the organization is genuinely competent; if not, it is not.

3. Steer clear of pitfalls

You should examine the scope of competence appendix in addition to the organization's CNAS certificate. Many organizations are only accredited by CNAS, yet they are still unable to execute hot runner calibration because their accreditation scope does not include temperature calibration items;

Organizations whose certificates have expired are automatically no longer accredited and need to verify their accreditation status again;

To prevent fake credentials, local organizations might be immediately asked to present the real accreditation documentation.
