How to Solve Unbalanced Temperature Feedback Between Left and Right Cavities
Leave a message
In double-cavity and multi-cavity hot runner molds, unbalanced temperature feedback between left and right symmetric cavities is a frequent quality barrier that directly results in uneven weight, size deviation, and inconsistent shrinkage of left and right products. This issue can be successfully resolved with targeted adjustment procedures.
First, standardize the performance and requirements of thermocouples. Adopt thermocouples with the same model, precision, reaction time, and service life for the left and right temperature measuring points; replace mixed-specification sensing elements; and remove any inherent performance differences that could cause asymmetric data feedback.
Standardize consistent installation status as the second step. Make sure the probes on both sides fit snugly with the metal matrix, maintain constant heat conduction conditions, carefully clean the carbon deposits and oxide filth within the left and right mounting holes, and check and adjust the insertion depth, fastening tightness, and contact gap one by one.
Third, distribute heating power as efficiently as possible. Adjust the output power of the left and right heating zones in accordance with the actual temperature difference, compensate for the asymmetric mold structure-induced difference in heat dissipation, and balance the two sides' actual heating efficiency.
Fourth, use correction for zoning temperature differences. In the temperature controller, set independent fine-tuning compensation settings for the left and right temperature zones, correct systematic detection errors, and align the displayed temperature with both sides' actual melt temperatures.
Fifth, get rid of the difference in external interference. Keep the electromagnetic interference environment constant on both sides, avoid unilateral air cooling, water path heat dissipation deviation, and wiring signal attenuation difference, and arrange wiring paths equitably. In order to achieve unified molding quality of products, after adjustment, perform continuous trial production verification and repeatedly calibrate data until the temperature of the left and right cavities tends to be entirely synchronized.333
