In condensers, commonly used finned tubes come in the following forms

In condensers, commonly used finned tubes come in the following forms

1) Internal threaded pipe

Internally threaded tube is a common and efficient heat exchange tube with excellent heat transfer characteristics. The water-cooled condenser commonly used in air conditioning is an R22 system, which generally uses internally threaded pipes. Its heat transfer coefficient can reach 930-1600 W/m · 2K, which can reduce the condensation temperature and reduce the energy consumption of the compressor of the chiller unit per unit of refrigeration capacity. In addition, water-cooled condensers, especially large chillers, usually take their cooling water directly from river water. Sediment particles and microorganisms suspended in the water can easily form dirt on the inner wall of the heat exchange tube, greatly weakening the heat transfer effect. Research has shown that when using internally threaded pipes for condensers, there is a critical flow rate of cooling water υ Critical, when the flow rate υ<υ At critical times, regardless of how long the unit operates, economic operation can be achieved relative to light tubes; If the cooling water flow rate υ>υ Critical, then there must be a critical time t critical. When the cumulative operating time t ≤ t critical, the use of internally threaded tubes in the condenser still has economic viability. Therefore, as long as the condenser is regularly cleaned based on the critical time as a reference point, the economic operation of the unit can be maintained.

2) Integral spiral finned tube

The integral spiral finned tube is formed in one go by specialized equipment - the integral spiral finned tube processing equipment, and the fins are spiral shaped. Integrated ribbed tubes can be divided into two types: bimetallic ribbed tubes and single metal ribbed tubes. The bimetallic ribbed tube is made by rolling two different materials of metal tubes, including copper aluminum composite tube and steel aluminum composite tube; Single metal ribbed tubes are rolled from an aluminum or copper tube, which can greatly improve the heat transfer performance of ribbed tubes due to the absence of contact thermal resistance issues.

As an important heat exchange component in heat exchange equipment, integral spiral finned tubes are widely used in condensers in heating and refrigeration systems. In addition, they can also be widely used in various industrial, agricultural, and daily fields with heat exchange processes, such as petroleum, chemical, power, metallurgy, baking, and waste heat recovery.

3) Spiral groove tube

Spiral groove tube, also known as threaded groove tube, is formed by machining spiral grooves on the base tube, as shown in Figure 3. The enhanced heat transfer mechanism is that the generated boundary layer separation flow disrupts the heat transfer boundary. Spiral groove pipes can be divided into single head and multi head. Considering the comprehensive effects of heat transfer and resistance factors, single head pipes are generally used in engineering. Practice has proven that spiral groove tubes have a strengthening effect on the heat transfer processes between liquid liquid, liquid gas, and gas gas. Compared with bare tubes, the total heat transfer coefficient can be increased by 20% to 40%, and can be used in various forms of heat exchangers, waste heat boilers, etc.

High efficiency heat transfer components such as threaded finned tubes, sleeve finned tubes, corrugated tubes, spiral twisted tubes, and spiral wound tubes have been widely used in condensers, and the heat transfer effect has been significantly improved. In addition, new toothed heat transfer tubes are constantly emerging.
