Installation method of flange heater in industry

In the field of industrial electric heating equipment, flange heaters are the most frequently used heaters. Flange heaters have been widely used due to their high power advantages. At the same time, flange heaters are generally used to heat liquids, so they are also called immersion liquid heaters. So in industrial electric heating equipment, the installation method of flange heaters has naturally become an issue of concern to everyone. This issue needs to be considered in advance when we design the flange heater, because the design of the flange heater is different depending on the installation method.

1. Selection of flange installation and fixation methods

1. Thread fixation. (flange heater)

There are two ways to fix the thread. One is to drill holes in the container, weld the female ring directly to the container, and directly screw the flange heater on the ring. The other is to use a thicker material for the container. Drill a hole, pass the flange heater through it, and fasten it with the thread of the flange heater using a large hexagonal nut (add a sealing ring in the middle).

2. Match the female flange connection (flange heater)

After the user determines the parameters of the flange plate, configure the appropriate female flange, fix the flange plate and the female flange with bolts, and supplement it with a sealing gasket. If the sealing requirements are high, welding and sealing can also be carried out on the original basis. .

2. Installation direction of flange heater

The installation direction of flange heaters is generally horizontal installation by drilling holes on the side and bottom and vertical installation from top to bottom (or bottom to top). These two installation methods need to be considered when designing the flange heater. The design is mainly reflected in the confirmation of the cold zone and the heating zone of the flange heater.

When installed vertically, when the water level in the container heated by the flange heater is not full, part of the flange heater is out of the water level, because the power load of the flange heater for heating the liquid medium is much greater than that of dry heating. , so the flange heater cannot be dried out of water. Therefore, in the case of vertical installation, if the heating tube cannot be kept fully immersed in the water for heating, it is recommended that the user leave a part of the cold end (the size of the cold end should be based on the low water level) ), make a good liquid level controller.

When the side and bottom are installed horizontally, dry burning can almost be avoided. However, when installing horizontally, the length of the flange heater needs to be considered. Due to the influence of gravity, the force-bearing area of the horizontally installed side is small and the unit force is large. Therefore, this issue must be properly taken into consideration when selecting the flange parameters.
