Introduction to thermal oil furnace

I. Product Introduction

A thermal oil heater, also known as a thermal oil electric heater, is a new type of heat conversion heating device. Its operating principle is as follows: Using electricity as its energy source, electric heating elements convert electrical energy into heat. Using an organic heat carrier (thermal oil) as the heat transfer medium, a high-temperature oil pump forcibly circulates the oil through the system, repeatedly heating it. This ensures that the heat user (heating equipment or heat cycle) continuously receives the required heat energy. This ensures that the required process temperature and high-precision temperature control requirements are met within the production process.

Typically, the oil heater main unit (heating element, high-temperature oil pump, and oil filter), expansion tank, and electrical control cabinet are assembled as a complete set of equipment, forming a forced liquid circulation heating system with the heat user. If the heat user (heating equipment or heat environment) has special cooling requirements, the system should also include an oil and water cooler.

II. Product Features

The thermal oil electric heater is a low-pressure, high-temperature, energy-saving heating device. 1. Achieves high operating temperatures (≤340°C) at low operating pressures (<0.5MPa). At a heating temperature of 300°C, the operating pressure is only one-seventieth of the saturated vapor pressure of water.
2. High thermal efficiency, reaching 98%.
3. Provides stable and uniform heating, and precise temperature control (temperature control accuracy within ±1-2°C).
4. Features advanced and comprehensive control systems and monitoring devices.
5. The heating system uses an organic heat transfer medium-thermal oil-which is odorless, non-toxic, environmentally friendly, harmless to operator health, non-corrosive to equipment, and has a long service life.
6. The oil heater can be installed horizontally near heat users (heating equipment or heating environments) without the need for foundation work.
7. Generally, the payback period is 3-6 months. The product is suitable for operating environments with an altitude of no more than 1000m, an ambient temperature range of 5-40°C, and an ambient temperature of 100-250°C. The maximum relative humidity should not exceed 90%. There should be no conductive dust, explosive gases, or corrosive gases that could severely damage metal and insulation. There should be no noticeable vibration.

III. Heating Operation

1. After confirming normal operation through simulated operation, the heating operation can be started.

2. Adjust and set the instrument parameters according to the heating requirements.

3. Start the oil pump.

4. Press the heating button. The heating indicator will illuminate and the system will begin heating. Observe the correct indications on the instruments. If any reverse indications are detected, check the thermocouple or RTD wiring for correct operation.

IV. Equipment Inspection and Maintenance

The filter is installed primarily to prevent large solid particles in the pipeline from entering the high-temperature oil pump. During installation, ensure that the filter is inspected and cleaned regularly to significantly extend the service life of the thermal oil and the equipment. During normal operation, the oil temperature in the expansion tank should not exceed 70°C. Excessive oil temperature indicates system malfunction or improper piping connections, which can negatively impact the service life of the thermal oil. Rectify the problem as soon as possible before resuming production. Regularly inspect and tighten the heating element.

V. Application Areas

Petroleum and Chemical Industry: Polymerization, condensation, distillation, melting, dehydration, and forced insulation.
Oil and Fat Industry: Reactor temperature control and heating for fatty acid distillation, oil decomposition, concentration, esterification, and vacuum deodorization.
Synthetic Fiber Industry: Polymerization, melting, spinning, stretching, and drying.
Textile Printing and Dyeing: Heat setting roller heating, drying room heating, and thermal dyeing.
Nonwoven Industry: Nonwoven Fabrics. Feed Industry: Drying.
Plastics and Rubber Industry: Hot pressing, calendering, extrusion, and vulcanization.
Papermaking Industry: Drying and corrugated paper processing.

VI. Precautions

1. Do not operate heating elements or high-temperature oil pumps with no oil, low oil content, or at temperatures exceeding the allowable operating temperature of the thermal oil.
2. Any unstable or low pressure must be promptly inspected and addressed to avoid damage to the heating equipment.
3. Leaks are strictly prohibited throughout the entire system. If detected, they must be promptly addressed. The flash point of thermal oil is generally between 130-190°C, so appropriate firefighting equipment must be available on site. 4. The equipment startup procedure is to start the pump first, then heat. The shutdown procedure is to stop the heat first, then the pump.

VII. Caution!

It is strictly forbidden to stop the pump if the main engine outlet temperature exceeds 120°C.

During commissioning, changing new oil, or replenishing new oil, always perform dehydration and exhaust.

During installation, commissioning, and system commissioning, strictly follow the product manual for correct operation.

The company's main electric heater products include: pipe heaters, electric pipe heaters, thermal oil heaters, electric heated mixing tanks, jacketed heated mixing tanks, flange heaters, duct heaters, air heaters, heavy oil heaters, crude oil preheating and heating, drying rooms, and drying equipment.
