Is there a way to shorten the cooling time of color-changing silica gel?

There is no method to safely shorten the cooling period of colour shifting silica gel. Let it cool down naturally for 30–60 min to retain the microporous structure. Under forced cooling, the particles will shatter or impair the adsorption performance.
1. Why can't we decrease the cooling time?
Risk of structural damage. Rapid cooling produces uneven shrinking of the silica framework and collapse of the micropores;
Irreversible performance loss: Tests have shown that blown air or cold water cooling can diminish the adsorption capacity by 10-15% after the first regeneration;
Particle fragility: When the temperature difference is large, surface cracking may occur, reducing the number of successive regeneration cycles.
Do not spray with water. Do not blow with a fan. Do not blow directly from an air conditioner. Do not cool down quickly after opening the oven.
2. The only recommended way: natural cooling in an oven. Close the oven door, turn off the power and leave for 30-60 minutes. The residual heat will gradually reduce the temperature and the particles will cool evenly. Seal and store within 5 minutes of cooling to prevent additional moisture absorption.
Benefits: Easy operation, No risk, safest and most efficient way of cooling in a household environment.

Any "acceleration" strategy would invite hazards of structural damage or moisture absorption and would be counterproductive.
4. Main Operations after Cooling: Seal Immediately to Prevent Moisture | Seal with aluminium foil self-sealing bags or food storage containers with sealing strips; | You may include a small quantity of new desiccant to assist in keeping the product dry; | It is a good idea to mark the "Regeneration Date" and "Number of Regenerations" to help manage lifespan.
