Materials used in the rotary flash dryer: 304 stainless steel for contact parts, A3 painted elsewhere.
Working principle of the rotary flash dryer: Hot air enters tangentially at the bottom of the dryer, forming a powerful rotating airflow under the action of the agitator. Pasty materials enter the dryer through a screw feeder. Under the strong action of the high-speed rotating agitator, the material is dispersed by impact, friction, and shearing forces. Lumpy materials are rapidly pulverized, fully contacting the hot air, and dried. The dehydrated material rises with the hot airflow. A grading ring retains large particles, while small particles are discharged from the center of the ring and recovered by a cyclone separator and dust collector. Incompletely dried or large pieces are thrown against the wall by centrifugal force and fall back to the bottom to be pulverized and dried again.
Suitable materials for the rotary flash dryer: The rotary flash dryer is suitable for food products, dyes, organic and inorganic substances. Hard salts: Barium stearate, Zinc stearate, Aluminum stearate, Calcium stearate, Magnesium stearate; Carbonates: Manganese carbonate, Magnesium carbonate, Basic zinc carbonate, Ultrafine activated calcium carbonate; Oxides: Zirconia, Iron oxide red, Antimony trioxide, Aluminum hydroxide, Chlorides, Cuprous chloride, Sodium dichloroisocyanurate, Sulfates, Calcium sulfate, Magnesium sulfate, Silica, Disproportionation catalyst, 4A molecular sieve, Sodium citrate, Tribasic sodium sulfate; Organic chemical raw materials: Pyromellitic acid, Melamine formic acid resin, Acetylacetanilide, Organic calcium, Chlorinated rubber, Diosgenin pesticide, Batan, Insecticidal, Abamectin, Acaricide, Paclobutrazol, Methomyl, Quinalox, Mancozeb, Tricyclazole, Atrazine; Dyes and pigments: Phthalocyanine blue, Sulfur red brown, Basic yellow, Oil-soluble black, Sulfur blue, Lead chromate yellow, BVG-red 75; Pharmaceuticals: Guanylic acid, Vitamin B; Accelerator ZDC, RH glue; Additives TMTD Brewer's yeast sludge, dicalcium phosphate
Disadvantages of flash dryers:
1. Flash dryers are airflow dryers, resulting in high energy consumption.
2. High-speed material movement within the dryer causes severe wear and tear on the equipment, reducing its lifespan.
3. High investment costs for post-processing (dust removal) and initial equipment such as the blower.
