Methods for detecting the state of silicon carbide rods
Leave a message
Silicon carbide rods are high-temperature electronic components. If they become damp due to operational errors during use or storage, they are particularly prone to breakage. Therefore, before using silicon carbide rods, we can test them to determine their condition and whether they can still be used.
1. Record the ammeter data and the temperature controller's output percentage in detail. When the furnace temperature stabilizes at a certain level, if a rod breakage has occurred, the instrument's output percentage will increase compared to the previous period, and the current displayed on the ammeter will decrease. In other words, the condition can be judged by the change in current.
2. Compare the current values and instrument output percentages of the inner and outer sets of current values in the same temperature zone. When comparing the same output percentage, the internal resistance current of the silicon carbide rod should be close to half of the external current; otherwise, there may be a problem.
3. Compare different temperature zones. When the temperature is the same, compare the output percentage and current values of the temperature controller. Compare the internal resistance with the inner set and the outer set with the outer set. If the temperature controller outputs the same percentage, the current should be basically consistent. In addition to the above, you can also observe whether there is a black ring in the furnace. If there is a noticeable black ring, the possibility of a broken rod is relatively high. If any abnormality is found, appropriate measures should be taken promptly.
The above are the detection methods for abnormalities in silicon carbide rods. Different methods can provide a more accurate assessment. If a problem is found, it should be addressed promptly, and repairs or replacements should be made according to the actual situation to avoid affecting production.
