Reasons for Overload Alarm of Ultrasonic Welding Machine

Reasons for Overload Alarm of Ultrasonic Welding Machine

Each ultrasonic welding machine is equipped with an ultrasonic generator. The ultrasonic welding machine has an overload indicator light. When the ultrasonic welding machine does not respond during normal operation and malfunctions, the overload indicator light will sound an alarm. If this situation occurs, how should we eliminate the cause of the malfunction? Ultra wide intelligence tells you that there are three ways to troubleshoot.

1. No load test: The current display is normal, which is likely due to the ultrasonic welding head coming into contact with objects that should not be in contact, or there is a problem with the parameter adjustment between the ultrasonic welding head and the weld base. This fault can be solved by adjusting.

The situation where the no-load test is normal but cannot work properly during the inspection is likely due to changes in the original materials of sound energy such as ultrasonic welding heads, resulting in unsmooth sound energy transmission.

2. The tactile characteristics of the hand: the characteristic of judgment. When the surface of the ultrasonic mold or amplitude lever is working normally, the amplitude is very uniform and the feel is smooth like velvet. However, when the sound transmission is not smooth, bubbles or burrs may appear in the feel. In this case, an elimination method should be adopted to eliminate the problematic parts. If the ultrasound generator is not working properly, the same situation will occur because in normal circumstances, when testing the input waveform of the transducer, it should be a smooth sine wave. When there are spikes or abnormal waveforms on the sine wave, this situation will occur. In this case, another complete transducer can be used to replace and judge.

3. Abnormal no-load test: The first step is to check whether there are cracks in the ultrasonic mold and whether it is tightened. The second step is to remove the ultrasonic welding head and conduct the no-load test again. Check whether it is a problem with the transducer or the amplitude lever, and gradually eliminate it. After ruling out the possibility of transducer or amplitude lever failure, the new ultrasonic welding head is finally replaced for judgment.
