Different heating processes require different frequencies. If the frequency selection is incorrect and cannot meet the heating requirements, such as slow heating time, low work efficiency, uneven heating, and temperature not meeting the requirements, it is easy to cause damage to the workpiece.
To choose the correct frequency, first of all, it is necessary to understand the heating process requirements of the product. Generally speaking, there are several situations:
1. Workpieces are thermally permeable, such as fasteners, standard rooms, auto parts, hardware tools, hot upsetting and hot rolling of Fried Dough Twists drills. The larger the workpiece diameter, the lower the frequency.
Φ Suitable for high frequency (100-500KHz) below 4mm
Φ 4-16mm suitable for high frequency (50-100KHz)
Φ 16-40mm suitable for ultra high frequency (10-50KHz)
Φ Suitable for intermediate frequency (0.5-10KHz) above 40mm
Heat treatment, shafts, gears, quenching, and annealing of stainless steel products, etc. Taking quenching as an example, the workpiece requires a shallower quenching layer with a higher frequency, while the deeper the quenching layer, the lower the frequency.
Quenching layer is 0.2-0.8mm, suitable for high-frequency 100-250KHz
0-1.5mm suitable for 40-50KHz high frequency and ultrasound
1.5-2mm suitable for 20-25KHz ultra audio
2.0-3.0mm suitable for 8-20KHz ultra audio and mid frequency
3.0-5.0mm suitable for 4-8KHz intermediate frequency
5.0-8.0mm suitable for 2.5-4KHz intermediate frequency
