Electric heating cable (self-regulating electric heating cable, self-limiting temperature electric heating cable) is the only new generation of belt-shaped constant temperature electric heater. The resistivity of its heating element has a very high positive temperature coefficient "PTC" (Postive Temperature Coefficent) and is connected in parallel. The characteristics are: it can automatically limit the temperature during heating, and automatically adjust the output power with the temperature of the heated body without any additional equipment; it can be arbitrarily shortened or extended within a certain length range, and allows multiple cross-overlapping without high temperature hot spots and burning. These characteristics make electric heating have the advantages of preventing overheating, easy use and maintenance, and saving electricity. It is suitable for temperature control, heating, insulation, and heating of pipelines, equipment, and containers, especially when there are materials that are easy to decompose, deteriorate, crystallize, condense and freeze. It has a wide range of uses in petroleum, chemical, electric power, metallurgy, light industry, food, refrigeration, construction, gas, agricultural and sideline products production, processing and other departments.
The electric heating cable is composed of nano-conductive carbon particles and two parallel busbars with an insulating layer. Due to this parallel structure, all Jiuzi brand electric heating cables can be cut into any length on site and connected using a two-way or three-way junction box.
In each heating cable, the number of circuits between the busbars changes with the influence of temperature. When the temperature around the heating cable becomes cold, the conductive plastic produces micro-molecular contraction to connect the carbon particles to form a circuit. The current passes through these circuits and makes the heating cable heat up.
When the temperature rises, the conductive plastic produces micro-molecular expansion, and the carbon particles gradually separate, causing the circuit terminal, the resistance increases, and the heating cable automatically reduces the power output.
When the temperature becomes cold, the plastic returns to the state of micro-molecular contraction, the carbon particles are connected accordingly, forming a circuit, and the heating power of the heating cable automatically increases.
The self-limiting temperature heating cable has advantages that other heating equipment does not have. The temperature it controls will not be too high or too low because the temperature is automatically adjusted.
