Seven precautions for installing K-type thermocouples
Leave a message
As a temperature sensor, K-type thermocouple is usually used in conjunction with display instruments, recording instruments, and electronic regulators. K-type thermocouples can directly measure the surface temperature of liquid vapor and gas media, as well as solids, ranging from 0 ℃ to 1300 ℃ in various production processes. K-type thermocouples typically consist of temperature sensing elements, mounting fixtures, and junction boxes, among other main components.
K-type thermocouples have the advantages of good linearity, high thermoelectric potential, high sensitivity, good stability and uniformity, strong anti-oxidation performance, and low price. They can be widely used by users in oxidizing inert atmospheres.
Precautions for installation of K-type thermocouple:
(1) Thermocouples should be installed vertically on horizontal or vertical pipelines as much as possible, and protective sleeves should be provided during installation to facilitate maintenance and replacement.
(2) The cold end of the thermocouple should be at the same ambient temperature, and the same type of compensating wire should be used, with positive and negative connections.
(3) When measuring the temperature inside the pipeline, the length of the component should be on the centerline of the pipeline (i.e. the insertion depth of the protective tube should be half the diameter of the pipe).
(4) When installing the temperature dynamic coil gauge, the opening size should be appropriate and the installation should be aesthetically pleasing.
(5) Use high-temperature resistant cables or high-temperature resistant compensation wires in high-temperature areas.
(6) Choose different measuring components according to different temperatures. Generally, when measuring temperatures above 100 ℃, a thermocouple should be selected, and when temperatures are below 100 ℃, a thermistor should be selected.
(7) The wiring should be reasonable and beautiful, and the pointer indication should be correct.
