Signs for normal operation of piston chillers
1) The temperature at the compressor shaft seal shall not exceed 70 ℃.
2) The operation of the compressor motor is stable and the machine temperature is normal.
3) The suction temperature of the compressor is 5-15 ℃ higher than the evaporation temperature.
4) The oil separator equipped with an automatic oil return device can automatically return oil.
5) The oil pressure of the compressor during operation should be 0.1-0.3 MPa higher than the suction pressure.
6) The operating sound of the compressor is clear and uniform, with a rhythm and no impact sound.
7) The temperature of the crankcase is generally maintained at 40-60 ℃, and should not exceed 70 ℃.
8) The voltage and current are consistent with the voltage and current on the nameplate of the unit. Excessive or insufficient voltage can affect the safe operation of the chiller.
9) The exhaust temperature of the compressor varies depending on the different refrigerants used. When using R12 refrigerant, it should not exceed 120 ℃, and when using R22 refrigerant, it should not exceed 135 ℃.
10) If there is an oil sight hole on the crankcase, the oil level should not be lower than half of the oil sight hole; If there are two oil sight holes, the oil level should not exceed 1/2 of the upper oil sight hole and not be lower than 1/2 of the lower oil sight hole.
Advantages:
1. The system device is simple, easy to lubricate, and does not require an exhaust device.
2. Adopting multiple heads and high-speed multi cylinders can improve performance.
3. The material is simple, suitable for general metal materials, easy to process, and low in cost.
Disadvantages:
1. Low compression ratio and small refrigeration capacity per unit.
2. It belongs to the new trend of reciprocating motion and significant vibration.
3. The weight index of unit refrigeration capacity is relatively large.
4. There are many components, vulnerable parts, complex and frequent repairs, and high maintenance costs
5. Poor regulation performance under partial load of the single head, cylinder unloading regulation, unable to be continuously adjusted.
