Signs for normal operation of screw chillers

1) The oil temperature of the compressor is 40-55 ℃.

2) The oil pressure of the compressor is 0.2-0.3 MPa (gauge pressure).

3) The oil level of compressor lubricating oil shall not be lower than l/3 of the oil sight glass.

4) The discharge pressure of the compressor is 1.1-1.5MPa (gauge pressure).

5) The operating sound of the compressor should be stable and uniform, without any knocking or abnormal sounds.

6) The exhaust temperature of the compressor is 45~90 ℃; The high temperature shall not exceed 105 ℃.

7) The voltage and current are consistent with the voltage and current on the nameplate of the unit. Excessive or insufficient voltage can affect the safe operation of the chiller.

8) During normal operation of the unit, there should be no oil stains on any part, otherwise it means leakage, and immediate leak detection and repair are required.

9) The condensation temperature of the compressor is generally controlled at around 40 ℃, and the inlet and outlet temperatures of the cooling water are generally 32 ℃ and 37 ℃.

10) The operating current of the compressor is within the rated range to avoid the burning of the motor.

11) The oil pressure of the compressor is 0.5 x106~2.94x106Pa (gauge pressure) higher than the exhaust pressure.

12) The evaporation temperature of the compressor unit should be 3-5 ℃ lower than the outlet temperature of the chilled water. The inlet and outlet temperatures of chilled water are generally 7 ℃ and 12 ℃.

Advantages:

1. Small in size and light in weight, it can be used as a modular fully enclosed large capacity unit.

2. Not sensitive to wet stroke.

3. It operates under positive pressure and there is no problem of external gas invasion and corrosion.

4. Smooth circular motion, no "wheezing" phenomenon during low load operation, low noise, and low vibration.

5. It is easy to adjust and can be continuously adjusted within the range of 10 to 100. It has high efficiency and significant power savings under partial loads.

6. It has a simple structure, fewer moving parts, and fewer vulnerable parts, only 1/10 of the piston type, with low faults and long service life.

7. The compression ratio can reach up to 20 and the EER value is high.

Disadvantages:

1. The noise of large capacity units is higher than that of centrifugal units.

2. The price is higher than piston type.

3. High machining accuracy and assembly accuracy are required.

4. The lubricating oil system is complex and consumes a large amount of oil.

5. The capacity of a single machine is smaller than that of a centrifugal one, and the speed is lower than that of a centrifugal one.
