Technical and economic indicators of reverberatory furnace smelting
(1) Bed capacity. The bed capacity is the amount of charge processed by the 1m hearth area per day and night. For roasted ore, it is 4~6.5t/(m·d); for raw concentrate, it is 2~4t/(m·d).
(2) Fuel consumption. For pulverized coal, it is 9.5%-14% of the charge amount when smelting roasted ore, and 14%-20% when smelting raw concentrate; for heavy oil, it is 7%-12% when smelting roasted ore. 10%~16% when producing concentrate.
(3) Copper recovery rate. The recovery rate of copper varies with the grade of concentrate. Rich concentrate (Cu 30%~40%) is 98%~99%, and medium grade concentrate (Cu 10%~20%) is 94%~97%. The lean concentrate (Cu 2%~5%) is 80%~90%.
Reverberatory furnace smelting flue
The flue exhaust duct is located at the end of the furnace, and it has two forms: a straight flared duct and an oblique flue. The latter has less resistance to the airflow, so the smoke and dust can settle here, reducing the smoke and dust rate. The side walls of the flue are made of refractory bricks, and the top is also a suspended ceiling. In order to reduce the failure of the flue, the flue is usually built wide and short. In order to adjust the air flow, a gate is provided in the flue.
Reverberatory furnace smelting reinforcement bracket
The reinforcement bracket of the furnace is composed of pillars standing around the furnace and tie rods across the top of the furnace and below the furnace. Use two-shaped steel or channel steel pillars to combine in pairs. When the furnace is heated, turn the nut on the pull rod to adjust the tension in time to prevent the pillars and brickwork from deforming. A gap of 25 mm is usually left between the pillar and the furnace wall for the thermal expansion of the brick masonry.
