Technical requirements and material quality of electric heaters

The electric water heater mainly consists of heating groove plate, pressure sensor, power regulator, water volume regulating faucet, inlet pipe and outlet pipe components, among which the heating groove plate is a key component of the instant heating electric water heater. The electric heater has good heat resistance, dry burning resistance, mature technology, and low cost. At present, there are many types of stainless steel heating pipes used by various instant heating electric water heater manufacturers, and the price difference between various pipes is large. The quality and performance of electric heating pipes made of stainless steel also differ greatly.
The main difference between the quality of stainless steel electric heater materials is the difference in nickel content. Nickel is an excellent corrosion-resistant material, and when combined with chromium in stainless steel, the corrosion resistance and process performance of stainless steel are improved to some extent. However, in order to obtain pure austenite structure, low-carbon nickel steel needs to have a nickel content of 24%, and only when the nickel content is 27% can the corrosion resistance of the steel in certain media be significantly changed. The instantaneous water heater uses a stainless steel heater as the heating element, and cold water enters the inner tank and flows directly through the surface of the stainless steel electric heating pipe to be heated. Due to the main indicators such as high pressure, working leakage, reliability life, and heating uniformity, many product design engineers from manufacturers lack a comprehensive understanding of electric heaters.
The true technical requirements and future performance of electric heaters are not very clear, so there are some misconceptions about the standards for electric heaters. The requirements for electric heaters are much stricter than those in the market, which is correct. However, excessively high standards do not necessarily mean they are reasonable. The higher the required standards, the more special designs, processes, and materials are required to complete the production of electric heaters, resulting in significantly higher material costs. Therefore, some high standard requirements without practical significance only increase costs. The cost of traditional stainless steel electric heaters is lower than that of ceramic electric heating tubes.
Stainless steel electric heater is currently a commonly used heating method in the instantaneous electric water heater industry. Relatively good corrosion and high temperature resistant stainless steel electric heaters have a nickel content of 30% for 800 stainless steel pipes and 20% for 840 pipes. However, if a worse 304 stainless steel pipe is used, the nickel content is only 8%. Therefore, the use of high-temperature and corrosion-resistant stainless steel electric heaters with high nickel content is also very advantageous. The heating groove is composed of groove weight, sealing ring, cover, and electric heating element. The electric heating element is located in the slot of the slot plate, commonly referred to as the inner liner of the instantaneous water heater.
