The heating tape in the electric heating system requires precise temperature control. How to achieve it?

Electric heating systems consist of heating cables and related accessories. These include self-limiting heating systems, constant-wattage heating systems, and MI stainless steel heating systems. These different types have different installation methods and temperature control requirements.

For example, a self-limiting heating system consists of heating cables, a power junction box, a two-way junction box, a three-way junction box, an end junction box, pressure-sensitive tape, aluminum foil tape, and snap ties. Because self-limiting heating cables are self-regulating, their temperature can vary with ambient and pipeline temperature, eliminating the need for a temperature controller.

Temperature control devices in electric heating systems include thermostats and temperature control boxes. The aforementioned self-limiting heating cables, which do not require a temperature controller, are designed for equipment that does not require precise temperature control. For equipment with more stringent temperature requirements, constant-wattage heating cables, MI stainless steel heating cables, or self-limiting heating cables can be used with temperature controllers. Our temperature control equipment can ensure the temperature of the medium within a pipe reaches and maintains the set range. For example, fire water pipe insulation requires the medium to be kept at around 10°C to prevent condensation or freezing. This can be achieved with either a mechanical thermostat or a distribution box. The mechanical thermostat has a control range of 0-200°C, while the distribution box has a slightly higher range of around 320°C. Users can choose the right device based on their site's temperature requirements.

Different heating cables utilize different temperature control methods. Constant-watt heating cables require a temperature control device, whether a mechanical thermostat or a distribution box. Constant-watt heating cables maintain a constant power and temperature. If not adjusted, the cable can be damaged by excessive temperatures, so choosing the right product is paramount.
